Default Lowarance 522 IGPS or Eagle 640 IGPS

Those are the 2 units I have been looking at. If the only difference is that you can't interlink the Eagle that doesn't matter to me. Is there any other difference? I did notice the 640 x 480 on the Eagle vs 480 x 480 on the Lowrance. Where is the best price on these units right now? Also I have an Eagle 320 on the bow now. Will the power cable and transducer cable fit right into the 642 or the 522?

Oldwun get the 522, you'll love it. Oh yeah you seen mine right:D
Call Cindy at threeriversmarine.com and she will give you a price. Her prices are cheaper than advertisel. You also should consider the WATTS of the unit too.

Oldwun, the Lowrance has more watts than the Eagle, will give you a little better picture. $100 difference, you'll have to decide.:D

I have a 522 also and like the color screen very much. You may get a better price if you wait till the 2009 units comes out.

Connectors are WBS model, the blue ones.

I was thinking the same thing. I missed the Gander Mountain sale. $500 for the 522 is what they told me. They sold over 60 of them. They are all gone there. With the new ones coming out I might find a deal. If ETSU would stop raising the tuition I would already have one.

If you buy check their site for any free rebates for hots map card. When I purchased mine they were giving a rebate free card that sells for $99.

Mine is internal mounted it in the open on front of boat on RAM mount with no over head obstruction to block signal. I have lost signal a couple times when back in hooler with high ridges/trees that I assume blocked signal.
