Which of the Side Image finders do the best job and which cards should i get with it? I fish only fresh waters which are rivers and lakes.

A 2009 model, new 798 model will have 2 card slots not one as in 797 & for all units just maybe- maybe they will get a handle on SLOW GPS:rolleyes:

    Default Fridays response

    Mr. Lewis,

Thank you for contacting Humminbird. Please note there has not been any update regarding the GPS for the response time. If there is an issue with the position fix ensure the GPS receiver is mounted in an open area for optimum satellite reception. If the GPS is internal this is meant the same for the 797 display to be mounted in an open area. If there are still concerns with the operation you may send the system to Humminbird to be checked and serviced as needed. Address is listed below:
    Attn: Service Dept
    Humminbird
    678 Humminbird Lane
    Eufaula AL 36027

All units have the same slow response issue. More folks have the 997 so that is the one they complain about.

700 too small. 1100 too big. 900 jussssst right.

I do like this SI unit although I do dam# it, but with what I believe to be justifiable complaints.
