Does it make sense that the wires would be common, left steer, right steer, and motor, and if I could identify the motor lead, could I put the var resistor in that circuit? Probably too simple, but simple minds have simple ideas. Of course I don't have any clue where the copilot on/off plays into this.
If I'm not mistaken the Terrova foot control uses a transmitter/receiver for the auto pilot operation(probably the reason for only 4 wires). So that would be expensive to build, other than that I would have to look at the control.
