Garmin uses the SIrf III in most of their current units. They may be using this "chip set" in their new stuff. This is poop I read on the "net".
This chip set just arrived on the marked in Nov 2007. Takes time to implement it. That is why Humminbird is saying 2009.
I am not privy to any technical documentation as I can not or do not have proof of employment....

I am a has been. In my day, the documentation went with the product. Like the TVs had parts list and drawings on the back cover. Remember.
