Can't do the yahoo thing from here, but since you brought it up. I've often wondered why the SI group was so heavily used by H'bird mfg folks, but yet is "unofficial". On top of it being a suck egg mule of a message board. It seems to me that if I was in H'bird shoes, I'd set up my own board on my website, line up some unpaid moderators and assign a couple of techs to monitor and report what's going on. Sure would go a long way to building brand loyalty and providing good support to the customers I would have worked so hard to win over in the first place.

I know of only one fishing related entity that has done this with any seriousness - BassCat Boats. If you want to kill some time, go to their website and check it out. Can you name any other manufacturer with a site like that and an owner - Rick Pierce - that'll jump in and help so often? As far as I know, it's self policing too. If you want to post on there that BCB stinks and has the worst boat on the market, you can - however, you'll have to deal with some rabbid BCB owners as a consequence, but the factory will let you go at it for all it's worth.....on their site......on their dime. Now THAT's standing behind your product IMO.

Dang nice boat too.

Wannabe...
