    Try ext antenna also. When linked our gps is much faster than internal.

    Crappiehound,

    Send the unit to me and let me take a stab at it. We will do what ever we need to do to get you squared away.

    One thought have you check all of your connection and also checked to see if you have 12 volts to the unit,

    RockMike, if CH doesn't get that antenna from you, I would be interested in buying it. I need one for the 997 for my other boat.

    Joby,

    I sent you a PM. As for the voltage, my Garmin alarms at 10v so I know it had that but I will check it right now to see what it is. Both batteries were fully charged when I put the boat in the water and the big motor cranked fast, no sluggishness, so I don't believe that is the problem.

    Really do appreciate your help on this.
