    Default Great Hummingbird Representative

    Guys,

I sent a PM to Joby at Hummingbird about a problem with my 997. I've never met him or even corresponded with him.....just saw his post on Crappie.com.

I expected a return pm (maybe).....but instead he CALLED me!!!

    Problem solved!!!

What a great representative for Hummingbird..........and our very own Crappie.com service guy!!!!

He may not be able to work miracles, but by gosh, he gets my vote for his efforts to make happy customers!!

    Thanks Joby!

Humminbird has had reps on several forums for several years. To me, it is almost necessary to do business anymore. When you are trying to get people to spend thousands of dollars on a "toy", available, helpful customer service is the difference between a one-time buyer and a customer for life.

Little known fact about Joby. Turns out he got into the tech service business after a failed career in acting. Now, I'm not saying it was due to his looks, but the rumor has it, the final staw was when they decided to take Shrek from live action to animation after screen testing proved that the kids were scared instead of amused.

So, there you have it............Humminbird hires really good, but frightenly ugly folks. True story...really. No, really. Think about it.........have you seen a picture of Joby? Now you know why.

    LOL.

Good job Joby and H'bird too.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
