Got me a 787c2 added the Quadrabeam transducer got it all hooked up decided to link it with my matrix 27. Simple right talked to humminbird they said the best way to go would be to add the new Interlink to network my system. Got it, hooked it all up no signal???Did a system check on both units, no gps reciever connected. By now frustration is starting to set in
Broke out the manual for the Link and it says you may need to update your software. So I break out the wallet and and get the pc connetion kit and get online and update both units. Doesnt help and now my Quadrabeam doesnt function and the Interlink is usless and my wallet is empty. Im to the point were Im going to box up all the units and links and cables and transducer all of it and send it to humminbird and for a solution!!
What do yall think??????????????????![]()
Mr. Plucker
Yeah, not just Humminbird - this software update and stuff not
working is out of hand.
Take all the products, a boat, a fisherman who likes playing with
electronics, and whoever writes/fixes this stuff, put 'em on a fly-in
lake, and nobody leaves till it all works... BEFORE it goes to the public!

yeah i always had lowrance fishfinders etc never any issues, but when i seen all the pics that people were seeing with the side sonar i had to have one, so i shelled out a 1000 bucks for the 797c2i then i thought i might want to link them together so i bought a 727 for the front , the screen is too small to be split like that and everything is small, cant zoom it in either unless you click a certain structure you see well i dont see too much cause its so small and its already hard to see to begin with. sometimes the gps comes right up sometimes it takes forever, even if i turn it off while im fishing then turn it back on it takes forever, its like they just make it all way to complicated i shouldnt need a college degree to use a fishfinder...its never been this aggrevating in my life, just give me one with a arrow pointing over yonder and ill be happier then i am with the humminbirds...im definately going back to lowrance with the platinum 3d maps..this crap is for the birds...

OsoFishy,
I do have a suggestion hook the gps antenna to both units and make sure your gps will lock on to both units. If it does it is going to be in the connection problem.
Interlink
Unit 1 will go straight to the console unit
Unit 2 will go straight to the bow unit
GPS Antenna will plug straight into the other connection
Do not use any Y cable. Straight connection
If you can't get this resolved give me a call (334)-695-3329

jhef,
This unit needs to come back to the factory and let us look at it.
The address is:
Humminbird
Attn: Joby Smith or Eddie Kendrick
678 Humminbird Lane
Eufaula Al 36027
The lock on time for GPS should 30 to 40 seconds.
umm ill send it back to ya, just not sure if i want you to send it back to me
