    Default Dielectric Grease

I Had To Get A 10ft. Extention Cable For My 797 Transducer. I Had To Run It Under The Deck Of My Pontoon Boat Where It's Open To The Water. Can I Use Dielectric Grease On Connections.

    Thanks

if you used something like this : http://www.dxengineering.com/Parts.a...PLD%2DLET14Z03 for any connection points that are potentially going to be "wet", more often than not.

But, I'd also use dielectric grease on all the "other" electrical connection points

That liquid tape CP referenced is some great stuff. A lot of places carry it including Walmart. I use it along with heat shrink. I've also got some heat shrink that is coated inside so that it makes a waterproof connection when shrunk.

Dielectric is great for connections subject to water. Liquid tape is great if you never ever have to open that connection.
