If the sensor was on and you were traveling some where, it would read the different pressures as you went up and down hills, kind of like an air plane altimeter I think, but it does have its uses on the lake. One of the main thing I'd be watching is what the short term trend, especially if I was a pro fishing in tournaments. These guys have it down to different patterns they fish for different weather scenario's. If the pressure is dropping the fish are likely going to be in a positive feeding mood where if the pressure was rising, they'd go with a more nuetral feeding pattern like if a cold front.
I saw this two years ago out fishing with Doc. It was fall and pretty gray out and all of a sudden you could see a change in the clouds with rain coming. Sure enough the fish really turned on and as soon as it went by they shut off. You could see it in the clouds but I have the feeling it would have showed nicely on a graph. These are small area, small amount changes you aren't going to see on the weather channel.

We got Mexican crappie here. They eat in the morning, sleep thru mid-day, and eat in the evening. Don't take much any kinda "sense" to figure this out.![]()

Hopefully our brains won't retire until they close the box. It's perfectly OK to think and not be on the time clock.
