I just replaced my 3 yr old Wal-mart deep cycle battery with a Delco Voyager. I usually charge the battery after every fishing trip so it never really gets a deep drawdown. Am I shortening the life of the battery by doing this, or should I let it get a little lower before recharging. I used to use Voyager batteries and just feel 3 yrs with the Wal-mart batttery wasn't a long enough life-span.

Wow, CatFan I didn't want to hear that. I paid a LOT more for the Voyager than Wal-mart wanted for theirs.
I have used Walmart batteries and now use Delco. There is no comparison. It took a lot of looking but finally found it.

It was a tough call wasabi----My old Delco lasted 6 yrs or more and there was the warantee factor. Wal-mart was 1 yr replacement and 1 yr pro-rate. Delco is 18 month replacment and 36 month pro-rate.
