Can you mount a SI transducer on your TM?

Yes, there is a transducer just for that and Humminbird will let you trade in for different ones IF you haven't opened the packaging it came in.

The only trouble I've had was busting my transducer off in Lake Fork. Other than that, I love it and plan to get a second unit for my other boat as soon as I can afford it.

Fish hooker, I also use mine on two boats. I purchased two transducers and power cords and carry the unit and antenna with me from boat to boat. I have a Ram mount with a ball on each boat. Works great.

And I would not give mine up for twice the money.
    Good fishing.

I have the 987C C and the 797C. If finances were better the 997C would be replacing the 987C but still no complaints. This is from a guy who swore he would never purchase another " bird ". When they quit making replacement parts for the old CH-30. That was back in the 80's. For you younger fellas that was an old paper graph model. I broke that promise to myself after 25 years. When I fished with a guy who had one on his boat.

Thanks to the wife I can afford necessities like this and can cut back on frivolous stuff like housing , groceries , clothing ,utilities and such :-0

Mark fly to Savannah the first week of April and we will fish and then you will buy one also.
Ask Jim about mine. Him and Judy liked it a lot.
You better get one. They may have to take them off the market. As they allow us to find way to much stuff out there that was being over looked for years.

No problems or complaints with my 997. I would almost ride around looking at the depthfinfer than fish. If my side scan ever breaks, I will get it repaired or buy another one. I will never be without a side scan again.

My only desire would be to have a PC program that will replay the recording and have the ability to mark waypoints from the playback. When I'm fishing on the bow, I cannot easily see or pay attention to the depthfinder and don't know if I passed near a great spot or not. Making a recording and playing it back later will help solve this. My backseater currently has the task of keeping an eye on the depthfinder. I really hope Humminbird is working on this as I am willing to pay for a program like that.
