I have had both, and the Terrova is a big improvement over the old power drive. The Terrova is much easier to deploy and stow; the foot control is a lot more substantial---more like a cable steer; the copilot will work without unhooking the foot control; the copilot has better speed control and you can turn the autopilot on/off with the remote. Obviously, I like the Terrova.

rockmike, you have answered my question. I ask the salesman at bps and he couldn't even think up an answer.

Next question same subject. Does the transducer inside the motor perform as good as the external? I have to replace mine now every year because where it runs down shaft breaks cable where motor pivots. thank you.

I have the US2 on my Terrova and it functions well and is a very clean setup.

One other question, do the motors make "noise" when they turn. I've heard the power drive makes a mechanical noise. Is that true?

I'm on my third generation of power drives, and the Terrova is the quietest of them all.
