    Default 997si ?

    I am not seeing the trees & stumps very well unless I get close enough to them. they are blending in with the bottom so well that it is very difficult to see'um. Is there an adjustment that I need to make. Thank You in advance!

    what is your si range set at. If it is set at 50 feet you have to be within 50 feet or closer? You could try turning up the sensitivity!

    These are at Reelfoot Lake. It works well, unless there are alot of stumps and after 50 feet they seem to blur, but I think this is because there are so many stumps it blocks the line of sight.

    I had put the letters on there in paintshop, asking some questions to see if I was reading it correct.

    A = Baitfish
    B = Fish
    C = Fish
    D = Cluster of stumps
    F = Hole ... I noticed later that it looks like the hole is from a fallen tree and if you look close you can see that the tree fell and over time the waves pushed the tree along the bottom as you can see a trench leading to the fallend log.

    Thanks for the info. Its like the stumps, trees, & fish are the same color as the bottom, therefore I can't make out what is what. I had mine set at 150', is that too much? I moved it in to 100', but I'm afraid I might miss something. Also what trees do show up on screen look so tiny on the bottom, when in reality they are 20 to 30 foot trees. What color screen do you guys use, blue, green, inverse???

    Make sure you have selected the 455 frequency. It shows up much brighter for me.

    On a side note....are these things fairly easy to install? The next thing I need to look at is transducer location.
