I've heard so much lately about gps speed not being accurate at slow
trolling speeds, believe I've even witnessed it myself - for example going
one way against the wind, pulling cranks, rod tips vibrating, then turn around
with the wind, same gps speed, and tips go dead. Tells me speed is different,
no matter what gps says...

Anyway, I'm wanting to experiment with modifying a paddlewheel speed
sensor myself like I've read about some folks doing, larger wheel and
better bushings, or maybe even bearings.

My particular question deals with a 700 series Humminbird - can you buy
a paddlewheel for it? And if so, can you display it AND gps speed on the
screen? or only one or the other? I'm lost, help! Jeff
