    Default garmin fishfinders?

Any one tried the garmins? Looks like most posts are for hummingbird, lowrance or eagle. Also has anyone tried any of the color versions by HB, eagle, or others? I have a color Furuno on the salt boat but thats a lot different world.

I think Lowrance has the most clear color picture of the sonars. I got stuff of all the major manufacturers. I like it all. Never had any problems with any of it that I did not create myself. Bout like buying a boat. After you get it, you start a looking again. Always something better. MHO

I have a Garmin 178c and it is a good unit. The only drawback to Garmin is that you are limited to "thier" maps.
