    Default Depth Finder Wiring??

I am going to move my console mounted depth finder to the front of my boat. The wire from the transducer is not long enough to make it to the front. Is it O.K to splice into the transducer wire to lengthing it?? Will this cause any reception problems??

Work fine. Just use a good grade transducer cable and seal your connections.
    Solder your connections if possible.

If you are not comfortable with splicing the cable you can buy an extension cable. If your transducer also provides water temp then there are some very small wires in the cable for it.
