    Angry 727

Yep,, went to Jordan Thursday and turned it on, and it went off, turned it on again, and didn't come back on!!! I checked all fuses and connections and then took front locatora and slid it into holder base and it came on...which tells me that there is problems internally with unit.. I just bought it april of 06...and in my opinion they should last more than 1 1/2 yrs.. When I bought the 727, I was replacing the last HB that didn't last much longer than that!! When that one went bad, they NEVER did return email to me about it,, so I foolishly went and bought another HB... shame on me..so I have emailed HB about repairs and how long a turn around and haven't heard back yet... i got the computer generated email from them, saying they will get back to me within 3-5 working days, so with it being the holidays... I will look at approxiamately 10 -14 days just hear back on how and where to ship, then probably 2-3 weeks for repair if I am lucky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! kinda sad I think!!!

I have ahd problems with my Humminbird and when I called them I got very courteous service. Sent my unit to them and had it back repaired at no charge within 4 days. Never have had any problems when I call them. Will never go to another brand.

Crappieman, Mine was doing the same thing i removed it from the mount, cleaned the terminals best I could sqeezed in some dielectric grease and have not had any more problems. Mine stays in the weather alot and sees some abuse most don't see. but has been a great unit. Glad to say, I have never had to call customer service.

    Unhappy trumpdriver

yep... already tried to clean terminals with some electrical contac cleaner.. still did not work...appreciate it! :-)with the holidays and all, I am sure it will take a good 3 weeks to fix I bet!! before I was generous with 10-14 days,... but I bet it'll be longer...1 1/2 yrs just ain't long time for something to work..

    Default grease

naw, don't have the grease but use contact cleaner, that should of cleaned the contact areas,, i believe the grease would only help protect from any moisture getting to them..if I am wrong, please someone chime in! Thank you for all help...kinda lost without that locator at the consol

I hope they treat you right. I just bought my first Hummingbird the middle of this month. I hope your problem is an isolated case as the one I just bought was a 727 too. Good luck with CS and keep us posted.
