The background light has a mind if its own on both for mine and the turn themselves on and off not to mention I had to turn sound off so I could stay in boat. The both chirp like crazy. I will be sending them in. One at a time.
Thanks guys

Fish now, you'll be dead for a long time
Lowrance has had that problem for several years now. Just about EVERY unit they made had the switch go bad. I had a 332c and a 102c and have sent both of them in twice to get that problem fixed. They relaced one of them with a new one and it went bad with in two weeks. No more lowrance for me.
Have a crappie day!:D [email protected]

I bought my 332c 4 months ago cause all the reports were great now you are all freaking me out. I haven't learned to use the thing yet but so far no problems. My iFinder Pro crapped out, now reading thes posts???? I seen somewhere someone said about a voltage problem (high up to 16 volts) I watched my amp meter today and mine briefly went to 16 volts, I'm going to isolate my unit by it's self but what is the remedy to stop that high charge from the engine? Help me out here please and THANK YOU, Ferdi aka Fred![]()
I have a 334C iGPS. Over a year now and no problems so far. I had a X-90 unit that went bad and traded it in on a Humminbird Matrix 67 a couple of years ago. I read somewhere that current spikes from an outboard's alternator could damage the unit so I bought a small AGM motorcycle battery and have my unit isolated using that battery. It works great and I can run the unit for more than 24 hours without much voltage loss. If you go this route be sure to charge the battery at 2 amps or less to minimize the risk of overheating.
Last year I upgraded both of my units to color and went with the Lowrance 334c on the back and the x102 for the front. I had problems with my x102 coming on by itself and had to send it back to Lowrance. They shipped me another refurbished x102 to go on my boat and said that my unit was having a problem with the panel behind the power button. I then had a problem with my 334c...it would basically freeze up and would not display my sonar or Hotmaps GPS. I talked with the company and he said this was also a very common problem and could be fixed by turning off the unit, then press the POWER button and the PAGE button at the same time and hold them down until the unit comes on. This will reset the unit. This is not a complete fix and they told me that it could possibly do it again.
