Ive used one before, it won't work well for side imaging as there will be some wobble/shakes as water is moving past it

Knocked my transducer off Tuesday morning. I had it attached to the back of my JB with one of the blocks you buy on Amazon. It has worked great for well over a year until I came over a limb I didn't see in the water. I've been thinking of buying one of the clamp on style brackets from Amazon to get me by until I get a new boat. Here's a picture of what I'm thinking about.
Any thoughts on if I am making a mistake? I believe it can get me by for a while until I pull the trigger on a new boat. I have also read the reviews on this and have seen the problems with rooster tailing through the square stock, but I believe I can fabricate something/ adjust it to alleviate that if it becomes a problem for me. Hope yall have had a blessed weekend so far.

I have used one, with the up/down adjustment can deal with rooster tail, and with adjustments can find the sweet spot before mounting permanent, have used it on several different boats, but as @Kevin22 states there can be some wobble.
In that case, I may be better off busting the orbital sander out and putting a new block on there. Thank yall for the input!
And use two bolts as well as the sealant/adhesive!
