    I would highly discourage any splice “if” the splice is going to be below the water line ...

    A short might potentially fry a transmitter ...

    I would also discourage selling a spliced cable xducer ... frying someone else’s transmitter would be worse ...

    I’ve spliced several over the years for myself ... I’ve even spliced Lowrance transducers to plug into Humminbird units ...

    But never a LVS32 - yet ...
