Thread: Active Captain Helm and GPSMap

Just wanted to share:
Had a problem getting video to record from my 1243xsv using an IPhone 12. Short of it, I could view the screen on my phone, but when tapping the record icon the screen would go black. Talked to Garmin - solution was to turn off “cellular data” in Helm properties. It worked. Garmin said a change would be forthcoming to remedy the issue. Anyone else have this issue pop up?

The few times I've tried I'd see fish on the screen and ("oh look, squirrel") I'd drop the phone a start dropping that jig on their nose. Thanks for the tip, I'll get it setup someday.
