A very good fisherman that I fish with showed me the importance of tossing a marker , I try to have one in my hand and when an interesting piece of structure shows up on my screen I turn and toss a marker. Typically I scan at 2-3mph and If I toss when the structure first comes on screen it will land pretty darn close and be findable with LiveScope or 2d on the bow. I’m sold on the value of tossing a marker. Especially when I’m going to one of my waypoints I’m ready to toss when it first shows on screen.
