Here is a pretty long video from Garmin that looks like a training video of all of the panoptix and livescope options along with some instructions for mounting. Just a whole lot of information. It starts to talk about the LVS12 transducer vs the LVS32 at about the 29 minute mark. I think for crappie fishing, the LVS32 is better with the wider angle of view. For bass fishing or where you are casting forward, the LVS 12 would probably be fine and much cheaper if you have a chartplotter that it will work with like the Ultra's. This is a total 43 minute video but it does have some information I have not seen anywhere else in a good format.
