    Default SI transducer mounting

I've been running my mega 9 SI at the bow on a bracket. Getting tired of messing with it. So, I know there's no need to mount it below bottom of boat not being a high speed transducer. So I'm guessing a 1/2" from bottom. Also, where to mount? Position 1 or 2 from attached pic? Thanks in advance. Name: 2018-05-06_15.38.46.jpg

Position 1 would have less likelihood of jackplate echoes showing in the SI image ...
