These newer units require a lot more voltage and amps than older units. If you have it wired into a fuse panel where other items can be drawing at the same time it could be dropping volts and amps. Wire it direct to battery. Use a inline spade fuse connector with the rubber seal cap. That way you know you have good power. It also helps eliminate the possibility for interference.
