Im planning to get the Helix 9 mega SI for the console. The transducer that comes with it is for a transom mount? What is the best mount for the sonar? Right now I have a Helix 7 DI on a Ram mount.

I got 2 Mega's at Christmas a SI for console and a DI for bow I sent my DI transducer in for a free swap out with Humminbird because the factory one was to long for my trolling motor.

In addition to what Rickie wants to verify. if it IS a Mega SI (MSI) instead of Mega DI (MDI) the MSI XDCR is the same length for TM - it has a 15' instead of 20' cable - the included XDCR can be used with a TM mount adapter - and further if it is going on a MK with a front cone skeg - it is too long and won't fit without cutting onto the skeg or cutting it off.
I run a MK PDv2 and that's the motor design (won't fit without modification), unlike the Terrova, Ulterra & Ultrex which will fit fine.
