    Default Group 24 sized trolling motor battery for small boat?

    I'm using a small plastic Bass Hunter / Pelican sized boat with a 40 lb. thrust trolling motor. I can save a few precious pounds and inches of space if I switch to a smaller group 24 size trolling motor battery. I never run my large group 27 battery more than 30% discharged as my lakes are relatively small.

    Anybody use a smaller battery and happy with it?
