I looked at several TD mounting options and went with one from Fishing Specialties. I chose it primarily because of where I wanted to put it. Installation was finished this afternoon and tomorrow will be the first on the water test.

This mod seems to be fine for cable steer TM'S ... because it takes 2 attachment points to the the non-rotating section of the upper TM Shaft ...
It does create an advantage, in that this mod is another way to have imaging at the front of the boat without the skewing effect (of the SI image) caused by turning the TM ...
It may be challenging around standing timber or grass ...
