Those lines are common reflections off a jackplate (or something similar to the side of the SI xducer - possibly even the pitot tube) ...

The SI beams reach from the water's surface on each side to past vertical under the boat ...

Moving the SI xducer father down toward the keel will help allow the SI beam to emit under the obstruction ...

If connected to the starting battery, the charging system could be Back feeding voltage. The ducer could be unlevel while on the water. Many things can cause it. He could put it on an extra battery next time he is out to see if it’s coming from the big motor.

Just guessing here, but if it were back feed wouldn't it possibly affect di and 2d as well as the si? IDK, anything electrical can be weird to figure at times. Still I would think obstruction of beam path would be the first place to look.

Your right about the charging system could cause interference, but I think rickie correct.this looks like there's something blocking the signal. The transducer probably needs to be moved.

Not always. You can get interference on your imaging and not have it on the 2d.

The HDSI xducer installed in the OP indicates the unit is the HELIX 10 SI G1 ...

Inspect in the SI image to see if the reflections are on 1 side only ... to verify there is an obstruction blockage on that side of the xducer ...

Please post a ScreenShot of the SI view in Normal operation mode ...
