    Default Humminbird remote

Not sure if I am posting this in a correct spot so please forgive me if not.
I have the Helix 10 Mega..... and bought the remote which I really enjoy. I can use the remote to turn the Helix 10 off but cannot figure out how to configure it to turn the unit on. Is this a bridge too far?

Thanks. That is where I started and it does not seem to address it except to say "do such and such after turning controller on" which seems to me that there is not a "turn on switch".

I would bet it only will work AFTER the unit is turned on because it is based on being linked by Bluetooth between the unit and controller. The unit's Bluetooth signal is not present unless the unit is turned on/powered up. So the Bluetooth "connection" does not exist until then. After powered up, it looks for items it has been linked to before (phone, remote...) and reconnects if it finds them.

Makes a lot of sense and thanks.
