I must be a little on the SLOW side in regards to Garmins transducers. Are they using SI and regular 2D to simulate down scan. All of a sudden all information to down scan is now called "clear view". If I understand correctly the Gt transducers have the seperate down scan module instead of the simulated one. Also the higher the number the better the down scan picture. Is Garmin trying to slip it over on less informed fisherman.From all I have seen and read .....there is a difference. I hope someone can clear this up As I would like to put another unit on the front of my boat. Already have GPS on the existing unit. Thanks for any input you may want to offer.
