Default Way point and map sharing

I have a HDS 8 gen 2 non touch at the console and a HDS 7 gen 3 on the bow network through lss 1 module. How do you get it to share the map card from hds 8 gen 2 non touch to the bow hds 7 gen 3? Before I had both hds 8 and 7 non touch networked through lss 1 module and share map card and way points with no problem.Any one know if this compatible or how to set the units up so thay will share map card and way points.

    Thanks in advance

I'm guessing the map card in the 8? Navionics card? If it's in the 8 and both units are on go to the chart page on the 7. At the top right of the screen press "Menu", near the bottom of the drop down menu press "chart options". A sub menu will appear at the very bottom of it should be "change to Navionics".

The waypoints should automatically transfer when both units are on. I don't recall if it will prompt you or not. Go into the device list on each unit and make sure one is showing up on the other.

May have a bad Ethernet cable or connection. Make sure SS module is powered up and you could also try swapping each Ethernet cable to the open port on the box in case one port has went bad.

    ^^This^^

You can also bypass the ss box and connect the Ethernet cable directly to the units.

I tried that also, I did a hard reset on the hds 7 gen 3 and it's working now no clue why I would need to do that to a new unit

new doesn't mean it didn't sit around for a few months before it sold, check the version and then look at the latest version number and see if they match. if not the highest number will be the latest.
