    Default HB 998 display

can anyone give me some ideas on how to clear up my screen when in shallow water. I recently upgraded software to the newest and always run switchfire off and 200hz. when I get into murky or shallow water this is what it looks like. when im in deep water the image is much clearer.. any input would be great.

Try switchfire clear when in shallow water (switchfire is either clear or max. There is no off setting) .... reduce sensitivity .... set surface clutter to a lower number.

You will also get more coverage area in shallow water if you turn on the 83Khz

Yes I mean by switchfire off it is in clear. I use 200hz because I want the clearest 2d pic and I have been told 200 is for that. Problem is when I turn down my sensitivity to clear up the screen by bottom starts to clear way up also....

Try Restore Defaults to get all settings back to factory and then test again ...

Sometimes things get way out of wack and just need to start over ...

Shallow water is really difficult sometimes ...

Try the Restore Defaults - SwitchFire Clear - and reduce Sensitivity ...

    Then report back ...
