    Default HB 998 image issues

I recently uploaded the newest software for my 998 and I was wondering if someone could give me some advice on cleaning up my 2d image. I took. Pictures today but I forgot how to upload them from my phone on to my account. Is there anyone who can tell me how to upload pictures and what I can do with the pictures to help Clean up th imgages? They are really blury me not very crisp in 5 feet of water. When I move to deeper water they do clean up some... thanks

Try SwitchFire Clear and adjust Sensitivity until there is an acceptable amount of clutter on the screen ...

Rickie, I always keep the unit in switchfire 200hz. When I'm in shallow water it seems like the bottom is so distorted as well as the screen that by the time I get the screen some what cleared up I end up having the sensitivity so turned down it won't pick up anything.

SwitchFire is either "Clear" or "Max" ...

Max shows all returns ... Clear applies filtering for water depth (and other variables) ...
    ------

"Beam Frequency" is either 200kHz, 83kHz, or 200kHz/83kHz ... Most use 200kHz/83kHz to get a blend of the tighter 20° cone and the wider 60° cone ...

Yea I messed up that post. I keep switchfire in clear mode and always run 200khz because I'm wanting a more detailed image. I do normally keep the sensitivity up higher then normal but the problem comes when I turn it down in circumstances like this the water colum as well as the bottom clear up up to were this nothing showing.... one of my pics is posted in the post titled HB 998display

As I noted in your other post - try Restore Defaults and start over ...

Things may be way out of wack ...
