What's funny is that Humminbird is all about the Chirp now, just this past spring the Humminbird reps doing the seminars at Grizzly were saying that Chirp really was not a big deal but yet here it is. Think Garmin had proved that wrong, just wasn't a big deal in the Humminbird line.
Wonder if it will help enhance 360 images as well?

There is no info (as of yet) to indicate 360 will have CHIRP capability ...

All info released so far CHIRP imaging requires a completely new style xducer ...

(360 is basically SI imaging = with rotating SI piezoes) ...

We are posting pertinent info as soon as it's released and verified ...

The CHIRP that Humminbird introduced for its 2016 units was ONLY 2D CHIRP. What we said was that it would give you better 2D imaging, not drastically better, but better indeed. I believe we also pointed out that 2D CHRIP was still not as good of imaging as DI from the same unit- I stand by this still. The G2 Humminbird units will not only have 2D CHIRP, but also DI CHIRP, and SI CHIRP. I'm still learning all the details at this time. Come back again this year and we'll go through it at the seminars!

I run 360/2D alot.I really like that combo.But I'm not sure how a helix would handle that combo.which unit are you running your 360 on?
