Wouldn't hurt.
I run 2 batteries :
Series 24 - starts 90hp outboard motor, runs console gauges, all pumps, & a HB 2d depthfinder
Series 29 - runs 42# thrust trolling motor & Lowrance Elite 5DSI
Series 24 battery is usually still at full charge after a day of starting & running & putting the boat back on the trailer.
Series 29 battery hasn't been tested for duration under speed. It's a recent replacement for the Series 27 battery that I had/used for the last 4yrs. It was replaced because 6hrs of heavy use and the depth finder would dim out or quit.
I also have a 3rd battery, another Series 29 battery, as a backup or can be connected in parallel to the other Series 29 for jig/crank pushing (if needed). Both Series 29 batteries are same size & manufactured within 8 months of each other.
