Temperature Graph
Can anyone tell me just what this is, how it works or an example where it will help me while using it fishing. Still trying
to learn some more of the bells and whistles on my sonars. Thanks in advance for any and all help.
Temperature Graph (Sonar View only, with Temperature input) Settings: Off, On, Default = On Temperature Graph allows you to display or suppress a water temperature graph over the main Sonar View to show temperature changes correlated to recent sonar history.
Be safe and good luck fishing

Quick, someone teach me how to fish so I can win this tournament!!!
Hang on Scrat until Rickie see's this. I can't find it but he recently had a pretty good explanation on this.
The temp graph shows a +/- 10 degree temperature spread of the base temperature at time the unit is first powered on. If the unit were powered on with temp probe out of water, then it would be based on ambient air temperature. I think the only way to reset it is to power off and then back on. As noted it is only shown on 2D view. I cannot find any information on how frequently it samples the temperature but guessing it might be tied to the pinging sequence. It can be used to find temperature related patterns where fish may be more active or staging. I seldom use it because I normally have temp displayed anyways and typically use SI more often than 2D.

Good explaination ezfishn ...
Here is more info in Sonar Quiz #14 ...:
http://www.crappie.com/crappie/side-...nar-quiz-14-a/
BTW... It is indeed tied to the pinging ... Every ping the unit records depth, Sonar echoes, temp, GPS ...and then plots the depth, Sonar echoes, and temp (if temp graph is enabled) in 1 vertical row of pixels in the 2d view ...
It is a trend of history data in the Sonar view ...

Thanks a lot for clearing this up for me. I am trying to learn and figure out some of this extra stuff on my sonar. I just wish I knew half as much as you all about these sonars. I don't know what I would do with out people like Rickie,Greg, ezfishn, cray and all the other Crappie.com members helping me with these sonar questions.
