Thread: Onix hardcover?

I need a hard cover for an Onix 10 that doesn't touch the screen. I can't stand the idea of the soft cover continually scrubbing on that expensive, screen. Thanks

HB doesn't make a hard cover for ONIX ...

And I could not find an existing hard cover (in any brand) that was close enough in dimensions to modify for ONIX 8 ...

So I modified the rubber cover where it wouldn't touch the screen ...



I'll probably put felt or ethafoam in the rubber cover eventually ...

Yeah, there is a X on my screen, when I remove the cover from my onix.. .. I bet you were pretty mad at humminbird,, by the time you got that X cut off.

My OCD definitely could not handle the X mark on my screen every time I took the cover off ...

Sounds like a great idea for podunkideas.com. injection molding has some high overhead though, so it would have been easier for the manufacturer to take on. Maybe you could come up with a simple solution and still make money. It just needs to seal up enough for highway driving.

Been around. Just haven't been fishing much in the last year. Between work and my motorcycle, I haven't had much free time.....
