    Default 598 Losing speed sensor

My hbird 598 mounted at transom has now started losing my speed readout. Will work then start flashing on same number over and over, shut it down and re start it works for a while then does it again.

    What gives?

Like wannabeFisherman said you got internal GPS and that's where your speed would come from. Either you are loosing your signal or internal antenna is messing up. Is unit mounted where anything could be obstructing the antenna. You installed anything new close to it or moved it recently?

Sorry, sensor may have been the wrong word. I understand it gets it of the internal GPS. No, I have not moved or added anything near it. It is sitting in the wide open on boat.

I'm not positive but think when you turn it on you can hit menu, then settings and check your GPS. And it should show how many satellites it's connecting to and double check your voltage. I have seen where low voltage well mess it all up to.

Go under the Views tab and make GPS Diagnostic screen visible ...

Then exit out of the menus and cycle thru the views until you get to the GPS Diagnostic view ...

This view will show the satellites being tracked and other info about the GPS ...

Please post a screenshot of this GPS Diagnostic screen ...
