Thread: Anybody have an idea what this is?

Cane Pole is right about the Navionics mapping. Their maps are awesome but they generally don't do the whole lake. At least not here at Lake Nimrod, AR. I happened to be fishing the day that Navionics mapped this lake. They had 6 boats going that day I think they said. I was watching a Youtube video of a guy making his own map with his Lowrance HDS 12 Gen 3. He had the map card map pulled up but as he made very tight turns back and forth over the original map features his unit was producing a much more detailed map. Like Cane Pole said the Navionics maps are very good but they just don't make as numerous of passes to catch all the tiny details.
