Default Routing external transducer cable on an xi5 or ulterra

Has anyone figured out a good way or seen a good way to route and secure an external transducer cable on the xi5 or ulterra?

    Contact cajun fryer at cornfieldcrappiegear

He makes a neat Setup using the air hose idea above (with custom CNC brackets to attach to the TM) ...

Does the MG not have a slot in the shaft ? Most of the guys with MK motors run the cable up the slot in the shaft. Held in place with RTC seal.
This is a neat idea though, and would protect the cable.

The motorguide xi5 nor the Ulterra have the channel in the shaft to run the transducer cable in. I wish they did. I'm going to follow up on rnvinc's suggestion though.

    Or do it yourself
It's time consuming but very doable.

Brett are you taking about the coiled air hose install or another method?

I've got my Onix, transducer cable coiled around the xi5, but I couldn't get near enough coils around the trolling motor to be able to lower the trolling motor all the way down. (keep that in mind, when you get ready to install)
