    I AM THINKING ABOUT ON MY 859DI TO PUT A SWITCH THAT I HAVE ON IT AND TURN ANOTHER DI TD SIDE WAYS WITH ANOTHER 2D DUCER STRAIGHT DOWN,WHAT DO NEED TO DO,JUST LOVE TO TRY THINGS DIFFERENT,TRYING TO SEE UNDER DOCKS WITHOUT PICKING UP MUCH BOTTOM,MAY NEED TO CHANGE WIDTH TO NARROW ON DI ?

    Any Setup that orients the 2d xducer other than straight down (for digital depth) needs to have a method to bypass the angled 2d piezo ... And instead get 2d digital depth from a separate xducer pointing straight down ...

    There are several behind the scenes processes that rely on the accurate digital depth ...

    This can be accomplished with the AS SIDB Y cable ... regardless if the AS SIDB Y cable is used on a HB SI unit or a HB DI unit ...

    The AS SIDB Y cable splits off the 2d channel to be re-directed to the additional 2d xducer for digital depth ...

    The AS SIDB Y cable wire channel for the Right SI lines up correctly to still allow the DI data from a HB DI xducer to get to the DI transmitter ...

    This entire Setup above can be connected to one leg of the HB TS3 switch ...

    With the other leg of the HB TS3 switch connected to a different xducer Setup ...

    THANKS RICKIE,HAD THIS SET UP ON MY 998 BUT JUST WANTED TO TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT AND WANTED TO KNOW IF IT WOULD LINE UP FOR 859 AS IT DID FOR 998,THANKS
