Any ideas why my scan looked like this and screen was blank in 2D?

Do you have "clear mode" set on 2D? Or possibly a big difference in sensitivity settings?

Have you tried to go back to default. It has helped me several times this week already.

This is what I think! I run on max mode and a lower sensitivity for me in 2D. Looks like you have found the motherload of crappie in ur side image!!! Or at least that what my graph looks like when I'm slinging them in!

The switch fire is off, if that's what you mean. My 2d sensitivity is set a little above half way. Played with it quite a bit but doesn't seem to help. Not marking much of anything while fishing. If I crank the motor and idle up to 4-5 mph... It starts showing fish and shad.

I would crank the sensitivity up on the 2d until it started showing interference, then back it down just a bit and see if it shows similar to the SI. At that depth, switch fire on would probably be OK.

That is wild man...ya got me with the idling and it doing right. I will await one of the pro's opinion now! Sounds like a great opportunity for me to learn something as well here! Thankyou for this post! Make a quiz out of it. So we all can learn.

I'm certainly no expert but from your description that it starts when you are running the big motor, it sounds to me like an interference issue, its not showing you fish or shad its just showing you interference. could be wrong, just throwing it out there.
