Maybe they have the wrong size fuse on it and it blew. The fuse should be on the positive post of the battery and should be 50 amp.

I just bought a boat that's got a 70 pound 24 volt minn kota v2 trolling motor with auto pilot. I went fishing today and it was working good the first 30 or 40 minutes and then it just died. It will not turn on or turn left or right does anybody know what may be wrong with it? Thanks a lot!

Check your plug too!
Replace the battery in your autopilot.
Mine went goofy once, a quick reset (disconnect from power) took care of it.
More recmtly the the battery in my remote got weak and started causing problems.

This boat doesn't have a fuse plug in the line and I don't have a remote for the auto pilot I am still using the foot pad
the fuse should actually be a 50amp breaker at the battery post as stated. The PD V2 that I had didn't have a remote to actuate the AUTO-pilot you just pushed a button on the top of the troller. use a mulit-meter to check to see if you have power at the plug and go from there.

If you don't have a multi meter just push the charge indicator button on trolling motor base, if it dont light up check your power plug then work your way back.

Check your foot pedal. Those things are cheaply made. The mechanism that controls speed can get out of alignment. At least mine did. I switched to remote control.
