So it sounds like the X15 has the best spot lock feature compared to MK, so my question goes out to the owners that may use this Trolling motor as mostly for longlining and use the pinpoint gateway with your Lowrance FF

Does this track contour lines well and most of all are you able to set a straight course you plan to troll without wandering off due to current and wind

You can pick a point and it will go to it, be it a 100' or a mile. It will also head a heading, if selected. Not sure how to tell it to follow a contour. If you ever follow a contour, you can save the track and it will definitely follow the track and you can set the speed to do it.
