    Default Fish Finder Advice

Hello, I’m new to the fishing world and looking for some opinions.
We just picked up a 14’ Alumacraft jon boat to take the kids (4, 7) out fishing and I’m looking to outfit it with some new equipment. It came with a bow mount 20lb trolling motor and a 9.9 Game Fisher outboard.
It also has a Hummingbird Wide Optic fish finder that I have not been able to power on. So now I’m looking at buying a new fish finder. I would like to stay in the $200-$300 price range and have narrowed it down to these choices.
    Hummingbird Helix 5 DI
    Garmin Stryker 5dv CHIRP
    Lowrance Hook 5X
We will be fishing large ponds and small lakes with the kids and maybe a few coves on Lake Lanier with friends
Any opinions on the above or other recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Manny

Edit: looks like i'll throw this into the mix
    Hummingbird 678C HD DI
    $100 less than the others

I Like the Helix 5 for its price, ease of use and bright screen. I owned one and even though I have since upgraded it was a very nice sonar.

The Garmin Striker series has no mapping capabilities (neither built in nor add-on map card) ...

Only track and waypoint plotting on a blank background ...(similar to hand held GPS devices that have no maps) ...

I don't think it even has a SD Card slot ...

    It does have CHIRP ...
