Is this a good unit never owned a side image unit look

It won't network, so if you want to expand to another unit later, they won't be able to communicate. It also only has 1 card slot and wouldn't support i-pilot link or 360 or Heading Sensor GPS.......With only 1 card slot, it won't be possible to have a map card in the unit and record at the same time.

It is a good standalone unit, but doesn't have the bells and whistles that the Helix 9 does.

they are offering something for everyone . I have a 5 and like it . Is it better than larger models ? no , but I will pay for one . the 5 is not clear on side image as some like but if you mark and go look if it shows anything you will say it's worth it .
