    Default Helix 9 question

I currently have a 998 at the console and a 587 at the bow. I would like to replace my 587 with a helix 9. The only down side I see is the 9 comes with the compact si transducer without 800htz instead of the hdsi transducer. My question is if I did the transducer exchange program and got the hdsi transducer would it support the 800htz beam? If it won't I may just pick up one of the hot deals on a 999 for $900. I still haven't got to see the new helix in person yet, bass pro or cabelas in my area don't have them yet.

You will get the 800 khz if you change transducer.the physical size of the helix 9 is the same as the helix 10

If you are wanting to network to the 998 ...you will the AS EC QDE adapter cable for the HELIX 9
    Humminbird | AS EC QDE

And an Ethernet cable long enough to reach both units ...

Thank you. Yes I plan on networking them, that is the biggest reason I want to upgrade.

If you network there is really no reason to do the exchange.

I like to have a transducer on my trolling motor, I do a lot of jigging plus I've always wanted side imaging on the trolling motor to look under docks or whatever.
