Networking hds gen3 units
When you conect them together with a Ethernet cable are they automatically linked together where they will share waypoints ? Or do you have to make changes in the settings menu ?

I have a G2 and a G1 linked via ethernet, and I believe you have to select the "source" for the 2nd, as in the one at the console (for example) is the source or slave unit for the other units, and all the other(s) will show what the console unit sees. The wp's will be shared but you can have different screens showing on the HU's.

My Gen 2 units share waypoints via Ethernet as well as Navionics mapping. I'm sure the gen 3 units will do the same. It should sync the way points automatically.Originally Posted by Ljones
